At Otomi Martial Arts, one of the greatest honors we have as instructors is the opportunity to watch hardworking students grow over time—not just as athletes, but as people. Today (May 23, 2026), we are beyond proud to celebrate a very special milestone as Saki Kataoka was officially promoted to the rank of blue belt in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu.
In Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, earning a blue belt is no small accomplishment. It represents countless hours on the mats, moments of frustration and growth, physical and mental perseverance, and the willingness to continue showing up day after day even when things are difficult. Blue belts are earned through consistency, dedication, humility, and hard work—and Saki has demonstrated all of those qualities in abundance.
Saki is truly one of the most loyal and hardworking students we have had in a very long time. Her commitment to training has been nothing short of inspiring.
