Back to Our Routine, Moving Forward Together

October 18, 2026

Back to Our Routine, Moving Forward Together | Weekly BJJ Curriculum

With Fall Break officially behind us, we’re excited to welcome everyone back to our normal class schedule this week at Otomi Martial Arts! We hope all of our families enjoyed their time off, whether that meant traveling, relaxing, or simply spending a little extra time together. Now it’s time to get back to our regular routines and continue building on the progress we’ve made throughout the year.

Speaking of progress, we want to take another moment to congratulate Connie Hobart on earning her Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu blue belt last Wednesday! This is a tremendous accomplishment and one that represents countless hours of learning, practicing, and pushing through challenges. Connie, we’re incredibly proud of you and grateful to have you as part of our Otomi family. We can’t wait to see what the next chapter of your Jiu-Jitsu journey brings!

One of the lessons I often share with our students is that consistency will take you places that motivation alone never will. It’s easy to feel excited when we’re earning stripes, receiving promotions, or preparing for competitions. But real improvement happens during all those ordinary classes in between, when we simply show up, pay attention, and put in the work.

That’s especially true for our younger students. At Otomi Martial Arts in Parker, Colorado, we use the Caio Terra Association Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu curriculum to help children develop not only technical skills, but also confidence, discipline, patience, and resilience. Every class is another opportunity to practice those qualities, and every small improvement matters.

So whether you’re returning from Fall Break, celebrating a recent promotion, or just beginning your Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu journey, remember that you don’t have to accomplish something extraordinary every time you step onto the mats. Sometimes the most important thing you can do is simply keep showing up.

We’re back to our regular schedule, and we’re looking forward to seeing everyone on the mats this week!

This Week’s Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Curriculum

Let’s get back to work, support our teammates, and make it another great week of training!
