Self-defense, weight loss, and community are some of the most common reasons people give for beginning their training journey. The great news is, we don’t have to pick one! No matter the reason we start training, all the benefits are felt over time, increasing the quality of our lives.
Our daily routine has us sitting in the car, working, going home, and doing it all over again. This process gradually decreases our movement and weighs on us both physically and mentally. Training Jiu-Jitsu is important not only to have the capability of defending ourselves, but to improve our lives as we age. Whether it’s your first day or you’ve been training for years, the important part is that we push ourselves to learn and grow every day.
It is not about how good we are at Jiu-Jitsu, it is how good Jiu-Jitsu is for us.
