Otomi Martial Arts | Caio Terra Association Brazilian Jiu Jitsu head coach Ranulfo Gonzalez had the pleasure to travel to Oklahoma City to be part of the Jeremy Nitta BJJ seminar hosted by The Summit Martial Arts. The event was a two-part seminar with the first being part focused on kids only and the second on the adults.
The kids portion covered several ways for the kids to engage and take their partners to the ground and into guard. Once the guard was established, Professor Jeremy Nitta began to teach the children several different options for submitting their opponent. The best part was seeing how quickly the children took to the instructions; largely due to the amazing discipline taught by Dominique Jackson, lead instructor at The Summit Martial Arts.
The adult portion followed next with some really awesome details on passing the open guard in various ways and directions. Once the students had a sense of how to pass and get to side control, Professor Nitta started with a really fun and effective submission series flow. The adult series finished with some fun rolling with the students.
