If you are live training with a friend and had them in an armlock, you would apply the submission slowly to allow them time to tap. Students are always very careful not to hurt one another because our goal is to learn Jiu-Jitsu, not harm our training partners.
Being part of any community requires care and consideration for the health and wellbeing of those around you. We also protect each other by wearing shoes off the mats, showering after training, trimming our nails, and coming to class with a clean gi. Just as we would never intentionally harm a partner during live training, proper hygiene and ettiquette protects our training partners and preserves the training experience. This way we have fun, stay on the mats longer, and continue our journey alongside our friends.
Together we make CTA better!
