Many people want to train Jiu-Jitsu and say they can’t until they lose weight, become more flexible, or get stronger. In fact it is training Jiu Jitsu that is the answer to these concerns. The movement that we learn through Jiu-Jitsu improves our lives on and off the mats and will enable you to live a healthier life. Professor Caio often says, “It isn’t about how good you are at Jiu Jitsu, but how good Jiu Jitsu is for you.”
A student at HQ recently mentioned that he experienced acute pain in his wrists from playing guitar. After a lesson with Professor Caio in which he mentioned the importance of keeping the wrist straight, he went home and found that his pain was from bending his wrist without adjusting his arm. He took Professor Caio’s advice from the lesson and was able to play without pain!
Small adjustments from training can make a major impact on our lives. As you discover your own benefits, let us know. We love to hear the ways in which Jiu Jitsu has changed your life!
