My son Jaydien started going to Otomi Martial Arts when he was 5 years old, he is now 9 1/2. Our experience has been nothing but positive. With the Leadership of Coach Gonzo, Coach Larry and Coach Eric,my son has grown in so many area's of his life. Coach Gonzo doesn't only teach Brazilian Jit-Siu, he teaches the kiddos about Leadership, honesty,integrity, about loving yourself, kindness and just being the best person you can be. Through Coach Gonzo's teachings, I myself have learned alot and have done some emotional growth. Coach Gonzo is a great person,leader and mentor. He has a great group of Coachs that assist him in his day to day teaching and help the kiddos when in class: Coach Larry, Coach Eric- you both are awesome. We took our kids to Otomi almost 2 years ago. Both me and my wife also joined! Coach Gonzo is great with the kids and an extremely well rounded martial arts instructor. He is tough but motivational at the same time. He teaches discipline and technique, safety and skill. He shares life lessons with the students and parents alike. Coach Gonzo is an excellent coach and mentor. He truly cares and seeks to instill this art with his students. His passion clearly shows and has truly built a great school. Likewise, the members and other Coaches (Coach Nichole is awesome!) create a great, supportive environment to learn Brazilian Jiu Jitsu. I took a trial class and everyone was very welcoming. Professor Gonzalez is a very detailed instructor that not only cares about his students, but also how he teaches. The coaches do an amazing job of making the techniques easy to understand, and you always leave feeling like you’ve actually learned something.
