What is Otomi?
The Otomi System was founded by Ranulfo Gonzalez. Mr. Gonzalez is a nationally recognized martial trainer,
speaker, business coach and practitioner. Mr. Gonzalez was greatly influenced by these experiences , but
wanted a system that not only addressed the self-defense and physical aspects of the art, but also the internal

in mind, Otomi was born. It is an American system that blends many styles including: Shotokan Karate, Joe Lewis system,
Tae Kwon Do, Jujitsu, Kick-boxing, and the Philippine arts. The katas (forms) are Shotokan. The physical martial
arts is combined with a systematic character development curriculum. We want our students to not only be "Black Belts"
on the mat, but also in life. While most of our students will persist and get their Black Belt, we want all of
them to develop the inner strength and skills they will need in life.
Otomi is the premier martial arts school in the nation, guiding individuals from all walks of life and
age groups to reach their full potential. The curriculum at Otomi Martial Arts
is an eclectic blend of leading martial arts styles that places strong emphasis on valuable
